The dam: Nothing To Wear Born to be the Best After many years we have plans to breed a StripPoker Chinese Crested litter again. We started in 1995 (our first imports and some StripPoker bred CC's can still be found in pedigrees today) and in 2001 our last CC litter was born. Last year the lovely powder puff girl Nothing to Wear Born to Be The Best "Sylvie" came into our life, she is bred by Didier Mohy out of Ch. Fantome noir Du Coeur Des Tenebres x Eroika du pavé de varennes. "Sylvie" is a beautiful girl, she is not the smallest but still very feminine with a beautiful head and expression, excellent neck, level topline and very nice movement and the most wonderful temperament. |
The sire: Tjiang's Mai's HoshikoAbout the sire for our special CC litter !! It was not easy to find the right boy for our girl because we have some points we really wanted to see in the stud dog for our "Sylvie". One of the most important things is of course health and temperament but also we wanted a TRUE HAIRLESS male. After being away for some years from the CC ring and breeding it was a bit of a shock to see so many CC's in the ring with a large amount of body hair. in "our" days only a few hairs on the body was acceptabele but now we see dogs that have hair all over the body a big NO for us. (FCI Standard: Hair: No large patches of hair anywhere on body.) COMPLETE STANDARD We can't understand that some judges accept this and even award these dogs CC's. The second thing is correct size as you might know in Whippets we do not make a problem when a male is 1,2 or 3 cm bigger (in a breed where maximum size for a male is 51cm) as long overall soundness, movemen and type is there. BUT in a breed with a maximum of 33 cm for boys 4 cm really is a bit to much. And also very important is the typical CC expression and a CC is NOT a poodle. And after a lot of searching it was kind of funny the answer was so close to home. Our dear friend Mieke Cooijmans told me about her daughter Iris' CC male a small TRUE hairless male bred by another dear friend the late Jennifer Gielisse !!!! When Mieke told us about him I wanted to see his pedigree and when I saw the pedigree I knew this is THE ONE !! Tjiang Mai's Hoshiko born in 2006 and out of two dogs from the world famous Razzmatazz kennel from Amy Fernandez, USA. Sire: Ch. Razzmatazz Slick and Crafty and dam: Razzmatazz Shera. Both are grandchildren of one of our favorite cresteds in history Ch. Razzmatazz Barberry (below) |
Check our blog and facebook page for more news about our upcoming litter planned for summer/fall 2015.
A BIG thank you you to Mieke and Iris for making this possible and to Anita Gielisse who gave us the green light to use this boy bred by her sister Jennifer Gielisse.
